Countries, Germany, News

This post was originally shared by LCMS partner church, The Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church (SELK) of Germany.

Dr. Werner Klän speaks during a symposium at the Lutheran Theological University in Oberursel, Germany.

Prof. Dr. Werner Klän, Professor of Systematic Theology at the Lutheran Theological University in Oberursel, Germany, has taken a leave of absence from the seminary in order to take up a post as a church history lecturer in the theological faculty of the University of Pretoria (South Africa). The professorship in Pretoria is a project under the auspices of the Lutheran Church Mission (LKM), the mission arm of SELK.

The agreement provides that Klän will retain his position as the Professor of Systematic Theology at the LThH and serve there in the summer semesters of 2013 and 2014. The course offerings in the field of systematic theology at the university are complemented by the use of tutors.
