The Lutheran Church of St. Michael the Archangel in St. Petersburg, Russia is known for hosting concerts of sacred music.

The Lutheran Church of St. Michael the Archangel in St. Petersburg, Russia ended 2011 by continuing its tradition of hosting musical concerts for the surrounding community as a way to share the Gospel expressed in classical sacred music, including organ and singing.

Rev. Sergei Tatarenko, pastor at St. Michael and probst of the St. Petersburg District, and Rev. Sergey Nezhdanov served as compères during those events sharing about the Lutheran faith and offering a prayer. More than 5,000 people attended 33 recitals in the last quarter of 2011. Themes included Jesus Gives Life, the Firm Foundation of the Teaching, the Call to Repentance, Justification by Faith, the Trial of the Last Times, the King is Coming, the Discipleship of Christ, Prepare the Way of the Lord, Jesus Strengthens our Faith and Unto Us Is Born This Day a Savior.
