“Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.” Psalm 98:1 (NIV)
Journeying yet again to the Beskydy Mountains, the English Talk Group (ETG) Havířov-Šumbark spent a Friday to a Sunday playing games, practicing English and hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ while on an annual summer retreat. The group looked at the many reasons we have to be thankful in our lives, and how ultimately we have one simple reason for joy, hope, and love: Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection has secured salvation for all those who believe in Him. We celebrate everyday the million reasons we have to be thankful for this sacrifice for us.

Joining the group for the weekend were also two families from the church plant ETG is connected with in Havířov-Šumbark as well as GEO (short-term) missionary Sarah Harms. The mixture of believers and those seeking to know the truth provided a setting for both evangelism and encouragement while enjoying the Creation from the Creator. We praise God for continuing to connect people to His church and for the sharing of His Gospel throughout this region of the Czech Republic.
