The group prepares to have an outdoors meal together.

On a warm and sunny Sunday in late September, Rev. Olav Panchu and Rev. Alexander Furs with members of St. John’s Lutheran Church (ELCIR) in Saratov, Russia, organized a worship at the church and an off-campus seminar, “Christ and Family.” After the worship, the pastors, church members, and guests switched locations for the seminar. During the one-day camp they explored the theme, using examples in Scripture and the lives of the saints. Many participants had their questions answered about the significance and role of family in the Christian life. At the end, the group shared a meal together. During the discussion, children participated in educational contests.
