On November 18, Sarah, a GEO missionary in Hungary, was commissioned and installed as a teacher by the LCMS Board for International Mission and assigned to Péterfy Sándor Lutheran Educational Center in Gyor, Hungary, where she teaches English as a foreign language.

Rev. Yaroslav Boychenko and his congregation in Nizhny Novgorod, a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ingria in Russia (ELCIR), had a busy summer as they performed and hosted several concerts of sacred music, Bible studies, youth and children’s outreach and lectures at local universities.

Through the LCMS’ support of Ingria Ablaze!, Deacon Vyacheslav Shadrin visited two new groups interested in cathetical instruction. He also led a short prayer service during the annual Day of Remembrance and Sorrow ceremony.
