German Lutheran mission hosts a seminar for asylum seekers
The Lutheran Church Mission (LKM) in Germany hosted a seminar for asylum seekers from Iran and Vietnam.
The Lutheran Church Mission (LKM, or Lutherische Kirchenmission) is the church mission arm of an LCMS partner church, the Independent Lutheran Church in Germany (SELK). LKM held a seminar for Iranian and Vietnamese asylum seekers in Germany. Many are interested in Christianity and the claims of Christ, so this seminar addressed the history of the Church in Iran as well as issues relating to life in Germany for refugees. LCMS missionary Rev. Matthew Heise also shared with them the witness work of the LCMS in Eurasia as well as a devotion. This was a marvelous opportunity for LKM to witness and show the love of Christ to those living in the limbo-like existence of an asylum seeker.
- Pray that the Lord will bless the LKM and their listeners as they share the hope of Christ with those who seek Him.
- Support the work of the LCMS with partner churches in Germany.
