From July 4-6, 2014, the Lutheran Church in Nizhny Novgorod held a family camp at a holiday center 10 km from the city. Seventy-six people including 40 adults and 36 children from 20 families came from Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Rzhev, Kostroma, Pavlovo, and Dalneye Konstantinovo– cities and towns located from 100 to 650 km from Nizhny. Church members led seminars, trainings, and other programs for adults and children. Adults activities included seminars “Making the Child’s Need to Obey Joyful,” “Sons and Daughters,” training “Handling Child’s Caprices Quickly and Effectively,” seminar “Pocket Money”, and a program including social time, tea and games in connection with the all-Russian Day of Family, Love, and Faithfulness.

Rev. Yaroslav Boychenko led a family worship service with a sermon for the adults and the children together, and gave a blessing to the families.
